The Gig

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team, responsible for the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the Healthengine business including the timely and accurate provision of financial, management and statutory reporting. The role will report directly to the CFO and will partner with other leaders, providing them with financial insights that support decision-making and drive business performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day management of the finance team and all its operations, including receivables, payables, payroll, and billing.

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly management, board and shareholder reports.

  • Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and drive performance.

  • Develop annual budgets and re-forecasts, including coordinating start of month and mid month revenue forecasts.

  • Cash flow management and bank communications.

  • Manage and develop the Finance Team to ensure they are a high performing, value add part of the business.

  • Maintain finance policies and controls, liaise with external auditors and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Provide support and assistance to the Company Secretary.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field with a major in accounting

  • Must be CA or CPA qualified

  • Experience in financial accounting or related roles (i.e. audit) with demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, analysis and compliance with accounting standards

  • Proficiency in accounting software systems and advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets skills

  • Extracting and manipulating data stored in relational databases with SQL is highly desirable

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide insight to enable fact-based decisions.
