Wyvern Private Hospital, a new health service located in the Northern Sydney suburb of Terrey Hills, approximately 25km north of the Sydney CBD, has entered in a partnership with Dedalus to implement webPAS and Clinical Workstation, the highly successful hospital patient management and documentation solution implemented throughout the Australian and New Zealand health system.
This partnership will provide integration services through Dedalus’ global interoperability platform, Digital Connect for Health (DC4H). Wyvern will also deploy the Dedalus Patient Portal to enable patient engagement during pre-admission, streamline the admissions process and leverage data collection to align with the data principle of “tell us once”.
To improve the availability of the clinical record at the point of care, Wyvern are implementing the Dedalus mobile app ClinicalAide. This Dedalus global FHIR-based mobility app will improve clinical experience, drive clinical adoption across the enterprise, and positions Wyvern Health to capitalise on the benefits of clinical information system integrations to support clinical decision-making and communication.
This acute care hospital includes an 8-theatre complex comprised of 7 operating theatres and a dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab. The Inpatient facilities include 85 inpatient beds, a 9 bed ICU, state of the art recovery units, Wyvern Medical Imaging, Pharmacy and Pathology services.
Wyvern’s focus will be on the specialities of Spinal Surgery, Neurosurgery Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, General Surgery, Pain Management and inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation services.
To enable continuity of care, optimise patient outcomes and improve availability of rehabilitation services in the Northern Beaches community, Wyvern Private Hospital has a modern outpatient rehabilitation unit, replete with a swimming pool and gym overlooking bushland.
All of this is enabled by leading edge end user hardware that complements care delivery to ensure the Dedalus clinical record is at the fingertips for informed clinical decision-making and the provision of care without compromise.

webPAS is a highly configurable hospital management solution designed to support a patient’s healthcare journey via an integrated enterprise-wide patient record and provides a foundation for Wyvern to also address clinical functionality in support of their visiting medical officer (VMO) community and in turn the care of their patients.
