The People & Culture Manager is responsible for leading, influencing and supporting a range of human resource management, culture and organisational development projects and services aligned with the People & Culture Strategy.
The position is responsible for providing leadership and support to all managers and executive in effective and constructive leadership of our people resources, and driving a culture change program consistent with the Latrobe Way and Latrobe’s ideal culture aspirations.
Broadly, the role provides key leadership support to the Head of People and Culture and other executive/management team members across specific areas of remit and expertise, and actively participates in the senior leadership team in leading organisational culture, engaging staff, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders.
Key duties and responsibilities
Coordinate, implement and monitor the delivery and achievements of Latrobe’s People & Culture Strategy.
Act as a trusted advisor to the HPC, CEO, and executive & senior leadership teams on matters pertaining to HR management and development, organisational culture, leadership and change management.
Design, coordinate and promote people and culture programs which guide the effective implementation of the Latrobe Way and outcomes consistent with the desired organisational culture.
Manage the development, implementation and review of all relevant human resource governance policies and procedures, consistent with relevant legislation and regulation.
Manage recruitment and onboarding activities, working with all areas of the organisation to ensure an effective and engaging introduction to Latrobe.
Implement processes and tools which support the effective implementation and monitoring of the remuneration framework ensuring appropriate risk behaviours and conduct outcomes are delivered.
Support managers and frontline leaders in best practice HR and people management/development processes – including the design and delivery of relevant HR training modules and timely advice and support.
Develop and support managers and staff to build engagement with and ownership of their Growth & Achievement Plans.
Support and enable people planning through development and implementation of strategies on recruitment, diversity and inclusion, retention, job enrichment, professional development and succession planning.
Ensure compliance obligations identified for the people and culture team are delivered in line with the agreed control environment
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience and involvement in leading, coordinating and delivering best practice people and culture programs and initiatives (including but not limited to culture change & transformation, human resource management, organisation development and change, training & development, industrial relations, return to work, employee engagement).
Excellent ability to build effective, constructive working relationships at all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders.
Tertiary studies in human resources or a related organisational behaviour discipline.
Accreditations in a range of individual development tools, leadership feedback instruments and/or culture assessments is highly desirable
