We are seeking an experienced and commercially oriented Medical Doctor to support our extensive network of clinicians and healthcare industry professionals across Australia and New Zealand who deliver our virtual health service. The Clinical Medical Advisor (CMA) role will work across a variety of specialty areas, and the successful candidate must have a broad clinical experience and awareness, including in mental health. The CMA will also provide clinical guidance to our internal Customer Service and Commercial teams as required.
Your role
You’ll be providing medical advice and feedback during development of medical programs / services, maintaining both a clinical governance and commercial focus
You will support our clinicians with cases as required
You will manage a small case load of clinical work as required
You will work with our external Clinical Leads on a regular basis to ensure we have a strong Clinical Governance process in place
You will engage in clinical quality discussions with clinicians and conduct audits of cases and reports for clinical excellence, ensuring clinical governance standards are maintained
You will assist with the implementation of Clinical Governance procedures and ensure we are precepting and reviewing Clinicians on an appropriate basis
You will support clinical recruitment as required
You will participate in client presentations and sales meetings, and assist our clients by participating in client events and webinars as required
To be successful in this role
You are an experienced Medical Doctor who is an enabler for operating in a virtual environment
You possess Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)
You are fully registered without limitation under AHPRA with current professional indemnity insurance
You are based in Melbourne or Sydney
You have experience operating within a commercial environment and are comfortable presenting medical topics to various audiences
You have a specific interest in Mental Health and/or Heart Conditions
You have experience in clinical governance and have run quality programs in the past
As this is a contract role, you must provide an ABN or the name of your affiliated registered practice for invoicing purposes
You are proficient at using IT systems and following procedural guidelines
