Coviu, a global leader in telehealth and teleassessment software, is proud to announce the appointment of Diana Pitts as its new Chief Executive Officer.

With an impressive history of scaling startups, Diana will succeed Dr Silvia Pfeiffer to steer Coviu into a new phase following its award-winning growth during COVID.

Diana brings over a decade of experience leading across the healthcare and technology sectors, including in high-growth and hyperscale environments.

Diana will begin her tenure at Coviu on March 18, departing from her position as Chief Operating Officer at Safewill, where she orchestrated strategy and sales team transformations leading to substantial revenue growth.

“My style revolves around first understanding the business fundamentally, including its unique characteristics, the markets in which we operate and how we deliver value to drive rapid growth.”

Before Safewill, Diana served as Mable's Head of Operations, helping to drive its exponential growth and to secure over $100 million in investment for the private equity-backed online marketplace. During her tenure, Mable doubled revenue in two years, improved operational efficiencies and spearheaded new initiatives in trust and safety, earning recognition in prestigious lists like the AFR Fast 100 and Deloitte Tech Fast 50.

Throughout her journey, Diana has been dedicated to fostering and developing exceptional teams and leaders and cultivating a deep commitment to customers. In her own words, Diana describes her approach as data-driven, customer-centric and people-focused.

“Particularly in an environment where many health practitioners are time-poor, it is even more crucial that our efforts align with the customer experience and that we continuously strive to improve based on their feedback,” says Diana.

As a former Director at Social Ventures Australia, Diana successfully established and led its disability practice, a new customer vertical, which partnered with others to deliver better outcomes for people with disability, whilst also delivering significant revenue growth for the business, ultimately leading to a twofold growth over four years.

Currently also the Vice Chair and Non-Executive Director of the Physical Disability Council of NSW and a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Leadership Hub, Diana says that partnerships in the industry will also be a priority.

“Collaborations with like-minded partners are essential to advancing Coviu's mission of improving healthcare accessibility. We will actively seek partnerships to amplify our impact, whether through educational initiatives, policy advocacy or technological innovations.”

In her recent discussion with Coviu, Diana shared her enthusiasm for joining Australia’s leading telehealth provider and the technology powering Healthdirect’s Video Call service saying:

It's clear to me that Coviu is positioned to make a significant impact globally. When you consider macro-environmental trends such as aging demographics worldwide, regional and remote healthcare disparities, and the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth emerges as a crucial solution. The opportunity to join Coviu, a company that has already made significant strides to democratise and improve healthcare accessibility, is incredibly exciting.”

Jenny Aiken, Chair of Coviu’s Board affirmed Diana’s suitability stating:

“Coviu's board is delighted to appoint Diana Pitts as CEO. After an extensive search, we are confident she has the right skill set and commercial acumen to lead Coviu into its next stage of growth, building upon the solid foundations and success the company has achieved. We believe that her industry experience and talent for leading teams that deliver significant value is exactly what Coviu needs.”
